Pop up blockers.
With pop up advertising becoming so popular now, there are many different types of pop up blockers, to try and stop this type of advertising. Unfortunately, this has an effect on web sites that use pop ups to open new windows to display the information that the user wishes to see. This is true for thecartrader as well. We will open a new window, when you go to view a car summary for example. This allows you to view as many different car summaries as you like, and be able to compare them to decide which vehicle you most prefer. Pop up blockers are available from lots of different sources. Some you pay for, and some are free. The way they work is always similar. We will describe the most common free pop up blockers. They are from : 1. GoogleGoogle has a tool bar, that along with other items, allows you to block pop ups. It also allows you to enable pop ups to work from specific sites. Their tool bar allows you to search, vote for sites, and see how well they rank a web site. Their tool bar is available for free from: (You can just click the link, it will open a new window if allowed, then go to the page to download google's tool bar from) Down load the tool bar following their instructions, and install it as they suggest. Once installed, every time you open an internet browser window, you will automatically get the tool bar under the normal buttons of the window. It will look like this:
When you go to a site that uses pop ups, and you want to enable pop ups for that site, all you need to do is click the button that says "13 blocked", and it will change to "site popup's allowed". Clicking this button agian will change back to "13 blocked". 13 is the number of pop ups it has blocked so far. The tool bar automatically remembers the sites you say are allowed to use pop ups, and any other sites you say cant use pop ups.
2. YahooYahoo has a tool bar, that along with other items, allows you to block pop ups. It also allows you to enable pop ups to work from specific sites. Their tool bar allows you to search, vote for sites, and see how well they rank a web site. Once installed, every time you open an internet browser window, you will automatically get the tool bar under the normal buttons of the window. It will look like this:

Their tool bar allows you to search, vote for sites, and see how well they rank a web site. Their tool bar is available for free from: (You can just click the link, it will open a new window if allowed, then go to the page to download MSN's tool bar from) Down load the tool bar following their instructions, and install it as they suggest. Once installed, every time you open an internet browser window, you will automatically get the tool bar under the normal buttons of the window. It will look like this:

Once installed, every time you open an internet browser window, you will automatically get the tool bar under the normal buttons of the window. It will look like this:

Clicking this button agian will change back to "200 blocked". 200is the number of pop ups it has blocked so far.
